Call of Pripyat is the most fun and replayable (not counting mods), with the best side-quests and characters. Shadow of Chernobyl is the most tense and atmospheric, with the best sense of progression and danger.. I've been meaning to get back into one of the STALKER games; I've played SoC before with some mods and rather enjoyed my time with it..... I regard Shadow of Chernobyl as being the best game in the series. As for standalone mods, OLR is the mod that I liked the most of the mods ....
